Implementation of the program tasks
There have been trained 127 young activists and representatives of non-governmental organizations. They have received knowledge on the active and competent activities for advocacy and protection of human rights;
There have been trained 70 teachers of middle schools who learned to teach human rights to school children using different organizational forms and methods of teaching human rights and adjoining subjects with possibilities to integrate the corresponding subjects to different classroom disciplines. They also learned to work with other participants of the educational process, such as teachers, parents, administration, and representatives of NGOs, which became schools’ partners, to create and support the educational atmosphere based on the human rights principles at school;
There have been trained 43[1] activists. They have learned to organize and carry out measures for human rights education using different organizational forms;
There have been trained 28 representatives of non-governmental organizations who work in the interests of people with disabilities. They have learned about active and competent activities for advocacy and protection of rights of the representatives of this group (i.d. of people with disabilities);
22 journalists have been trained to advocate and protect human rights through the personal professional activity;
24[2] activists have received knowledge on planning and carrying out human rights monitoring;
The materials of 6 educational courses have been systemized / described[3]. These materials are in the process of approval within the framework of the following projects: Human Rights School for Youth, the Course for Coordinators of Youth Measures for Human Rights Education, the Seminar on Human Rights Monitoring, Human Rights School for Teachers, the Role of Journalism in Human Rights Advocacy and Protection, the Seminar on Human Rights for Activists who Work in the Interests of Persons with Disabilities;
23[4] projects of the youth groups in the sphere of human rights advocacy and protection have gained financial and expert support;
There have been created a web site of the Understanding Human Rights All Ukrainian Educational Program. Some other Internet resources are also supervised, such as the social network of the human rights movement activists, the electronic mailing list, the elements of distance learning etc.
Basic training has been received by 26 representatives of the Monitoring Department on keeping human rights in Law enforcement bodies’ activity of the MIA of Ukraine;
There have been adapted and published 1000 copies of the manual titled Teaching Youth Human Rights.[5];

§ There have been held 15 educational courses for different target groups (for young activists and representatives of non-governmental organizations – 6 group, for teachers – 3 groups, for activists who work in the sphere of human rights education – 2 groups, for law enforcement agents (the Minister’s Assistants of the Monitoring Department on keeping human rights in Law enforcement bodies activity, the MIA of Ukraine) – 1 group);
§ 307 persons have taken part in the educational courses of the program (33 persons out of 340 are the graduates of the previous educational measures of the program). These are notably: 70 teachers, 127 – young people, 43 – activists of the non-governmental organizations who work in the sphere of human rights education, 26 – Minister’s Assistants of the Monitoring Department on keeping human rights in Law enforcement bodies activity of the MIA of Ukraine; 28 – representatives of the non-governmental organizations who work in the interests of people with disabilities; 22 – journalists; 24 – activists who received special training on human rights monitoring;
§ About 20 activists are actively involved in the implementation of further activities in the capacity of trainers and experts.
