09.02.10 | Alena Sheshenia Recently the participants of the training on educational campaigns for the protection of human rights, which is implemented by the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union with the financial assistance of the Norwegian Helsinki Committee and the International Renaissance Foundation, have met representatives of the non-governmental organizations and educational establishments located in Chernihiv. The training was carried out within the framework of the Understanding Human Rights Program. The meeting was attended by the participants of the training, headmasters and teachers of Chernihiv regional pedagogical lyceum for gifted rural youth, lyceum #22, which is an associated member of the UNESCO, and by representatives of Chernihiv non-governmental organizations. All of them have undergone training within the framework of the Understanding Human Rights Program.

26.10.09 | Viktoriya Shaban | news of the program graduates Within the framework of the Program of Youth Groups Measures of the Understanding Human Rights All Ukrainian Educational Program the graduates of the Fifth Human Rights School for Youth Gubenko Kseniya and Viktoriya Shamrai implemented a mini-project titled Let us Teach Students Human Rights. The goal of the project – getting students acquainted with human rights and the European Court of Human Rights mechanisms of human rights protection and encouraging them to advocate and defend human rights.

The seminar is a part of the project entitled From a Student to a Student implemented by the Sumy local youth public association Social Organization of Students and the Sumy local Youth Leisure Time Center with the support of the Understanding Human Rights national educational program and the Ukrainian Helsinki human rights union.
