When the Ukrainian prisoners were asked this question they thought they were happy. However, the Norwegian prisoners made a different decision. They started sending money and flowers to the employees of the agency voluntarily. Why? They think it is their agency, which takes care of them…

The mobile exhibition about human rights will be displayed in Kyiv and seven other cities of Ukraine, such as Chernihiv, L’viv, Luhans’k, Simferopol’, Kirovohrad, Poltava and Kherson this year. "Solidarity in action: supporting civil society in Belarus" is the project aimed at the establishment of conditions for the provision of assistance by young human rights defenders to colleagues from the neighboring country, since a large-scale campaign to intimidate civil society was launched in Belarus. The idea was implemented due to the financial assistance of the Norwegian Helsinki Committee (NHC) within the framework of the Understanding Human Rights Program, which is administered by the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union (UHHRU). The project lasted for about a month and foresaw the participation of Ukrainian human rights activists in the activity of the International Observation Mission in Minsk.

The Human Rights Center “Postup” today announced the release of the publication based on the results of the trilateral project Actions for the Protection of Children at Risk: the Experience of Poland, Germany and Ukraine. The publication contains the analysis of the observance of the rights of children at risk in Ukraine, an overview of national systems and standards for the provision of assistance to children at risk in Poland and Germany and recommendations to the Government of Ukraine as to the improvement of the existing situation.
